Early Summer Beachin’ in Tabuelan

Durhan Resort Tabuelan Cebu

It was 5 am on a sleepy Sunday morning, my officemates and I were already up and about despite the obvious lack of sleep. We took a 2-hour road trip to a beach resort in Tabuelan for our second team outing.

Just the night before, I was partying with my blogger friends, and here I am, whisking myself again to another brief adventure, barely a few hours in between.

We were trying our best to catch up on our sleep inside the van but failed, because the zigzag roads leading to Tabuelan will keep you awake the entire time. It didn’t help that our driver was feeling like a daredevil himself, like he owned the road and gave zero f*cks if it’s going to be our last day here on Earth. Yeah, some adventure we had.

But we arrived safely at Durhan White Beach Resort, with our hearts, kidneys and other vital organs intact.

Finally, we arrived at Durhan White Beach Resort.

A skimpy road leading to the resort.

What’s great was that we were the first few customers to arrive so there weren’t that many people to distract us while we were cavorting by the beach. Here’s a glimpse of my mini-tour around the resort:

This is where we stayed for the day.

We rented one of their cottages for P2,000, good for an overnight stay (we only stayed for a couple of hours since we have work the next day) and P800.00 for the huge tent.

By the time I got back to our tent, I was famished. Look at all the food we prepared.

Wow… This brings back a lot of memories. The last time I was in Durhan was like 7 years ago and we had an awesome time then. I think the place looks better now.

    • Jazmine says:

Really? That’s great! The resort’s caretakers told me that the was renovated recently after the Yolanda storm.

  2. Fledermaus says:

There’s a quote by author Isak Dinesen that goes, “The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea.” This is so true for me, the sea always makes me feel free and untangled from life’s demands. Glad you found a bit of paradise in Tabuelan 🙂

    • Jazmine says:

Thanks for dropping by. Yes, the place was great, far away from the city traffic and less crowded than most resorts I’ve been to.

  3. There are really a lot of things to explore in Cebu and since I really love the beach. I would definitely try this place 😉

  4. Rea says:

I love adventures! Anywhere! But not all the time, LOL. Depends on resources. I’ve only passed by Tabuelan when we went to Tuburan. Both beautiful places. Our island is truly blessed with wonderful beaches.

    • Jazmine says:

If only we have all the money and time, who wouldn’t want to spend on the beach, right? And yes, Cebu is truly blessed with all our natural resources.

  5. Janine says:

I honestly haven’t heard of this place yet but this seems to be a nice one. Hehe. But the resort is quite underdeveloped pa noh? Maybe it would be nicer kung ma develop na jud xa. hehe

  6. All of these pictures are making me long for the beach! The place doesn’t look very developed yet and I like how tranquil and untouched it looks. It’s an island getaway.

    • Jazmine says:

The resort itself is far from perfect but the beach lends its rugged charm that can appeal to all beach lovers out there. 🙂
